「Between the sun and the moon」
Essay
Dear T,
Thank you for the consideration.
Well, our ship finished this morning at 3:01. It's 15 hours racing. The last ship took 23 hours 50 minutes to the goal.
We wondered it would be tough long race in a dense fog over the sea and calm wind the night before in Hakodate. But it turned fine weather as well as waves with good wind between the Straits of Tsugaru.
Nevertheless an accident of main halyards just after the start, we won the 6 prise. It all depends on a skilled skipper and crews. I am not an experienced crew but it seems that I could help them somehow to get the prise. I was grad that they accepted me as a new crew and I was able to adapted to the team.
During the sailing, I saw the full sunset coloured the Mutsu gulf with the yolk orange on the west thereupon dolphins appeared around the ship then later the full moon did too with cold yellow from the east of the sky.
I was touched by the greatness of nature, at the same time I felt the solitude between the sun and the moon. I think I'm a kind of a sentimentalist recently. I can't take a pleasure even among acquaintances. Also I can't be comfortable at parties because of a feeling of being isolation.
Taisetsu na Chingu, take good care of yourself!
